The route begins at the Be'er Sheva Mound National Park with a one to two hour walking tour in the ruins of this ancient city. It is recommended to climb to the top of the tower located in the center of the site providing a 360° panoramic view of the surroundings.
A short ride to the city of Be'er Sheva, capital of the Negev and Israel's southern metropolis, to the Abrahams Well International Visitors Center situated in the old city. The center presents the heritage of biblical Abraham.
Continue south on Highway 40 to Kibbutz Sde Boker to visit Ben-Gurion's Hut, a museum to the history and achievements of Israel's first prime minister and defense minister, David Ben-Gurion. Ben-Gurion lived in the hut at Sde Boker for 20 years (1953-1973), and in accordance with his wishes, the hut has been preserved the way it was when he resided there until his demise in 1973.
Continue south the Avdat National Park for a walking tour of the remnants of this Nabatean city, and here the route ends. A stop can be made at the Sde Boker College where a visit can be made to Ben-Gurion's grave and to several inviting local enterprises.
